Lee reserved the wine tour around Rutherglen to sample some of the delights this fabulous place produces.

Lee’s knowledge about wine was pretty impressive as he tasted a selection at various cellar doors.

Collecting these Callum and Co. from Wodonga, we tootled off to Rutherglen for a chilled and relaxing tour 🥂.

Visiting four cellar doors, or maybe five, no one had to drive, so they could all taste the regions finest wines with lunch at Bonnie for consistently good and exceptional pizza!

One happy camper!! Ok we’re not really camping and Sue isn’t really driving, but was do happy to sit behind the wheel and pose for photos.

No it wasn’t the wine tasting that made her fall in love with the kombi but her love for the old v-dub came because she used to own a 72 bug!

All the way from Canada, Sue and guests enjoyed their cruising, 70’s style, between the cellar doors of Rutherglen.

Wine and Kombi’s and this beautiful region provided the perfect day for everyone on a wine tour with us.

We feel a bit uncomfortable posting at the moment with the fires around the state. There is much loss and heartache with the destruction caused. Our thoughts go out to all in this terrible circumstance and also to those fighting the fires too.

We will think of someway. we can contribute, to help the communities recover.

After the last fires, several years ago, a few of the vdub crew took a run out to the affected area, did a bit of shopping, bought a pub meal and spent a bit of money in the area.

It likely we will so the same when the time is safe to do so.

Aime and her husband Jack have recently moved to the area and for those who have an interest in Pilates, well Aime will be setting up a new studio soon as she is an instructor.

It showed, Aime was able to close the kombi sliding door with only one attempt 💪 that is a first 😆

Veterans of the Rutherglen region visiting for 37 years and we still managed to visit two cellar doors they hadn’t been to before.

A wine tour in the kombi was a touch of nostalgia as their Dad used to own two kombis and it brought back memories of their Tasmanian adventures.

The days adventure was Rutherglen, tasting wine, eating excellent food and having a fun day and one to remember.

The last wine tour before Christmas with such a wonderful family getting together for the Christmas season.

I think a couple were a little seedy from the shenanigans of the night before but that didn’t stop these wine warriors enjoying the delights of the Rutherglen region.

We all ended up in the Vic Hotel sharing the stories of the tour, Christmas plans and other stories with entertaining value.
